On September 22 and 23, in anticipation of the TRANSTUN exercise to be held in April 2021, TRANSTUN project partners OUVRY and LOMBARDI have launched a two-days CBRN training at SDIS 65 Caserne in Tarbes (22/09) and Saint-Lary Firefighters Caserne (23/09).

The training objective was that of ensuring the optimal condition of the equipment to be used during TRANSTUN exercise, suitable for CBRN protection, detection and decontamination tests, and thus critical for the safety of French and Spanish first responders who will be called to intervene in the event of a CBRN threat at the border.

In particular the training targeted:

SDIS 65 Caserne (22/09/2020):

  • Gendarmerie 65
  • SDIS 65
  • SAMU 65
  • AGIGN

Saint Lary Caserne (23/09/2020):

  • Bomberos from Huesca
  • Bomberos from Saragossa
  • Bomberos from Bielsa
  • NRBQ unit of the Guardia Civil from Huesca

TRANSTUN project partners and SAFE, in the role of Consortium Leader, thank the SDIS 65 and Saint Lary Caserne, the Préfecture des Hautes-Pyrénées, and all protection and rescue services personnel for actively participating in this incredible event.
