From September 22 to 24, Fondazione SAFE had the honor of hosting a delegation from the Military Institute of Armored Forces of the National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute” for three days of intense collaboration focused on strengthening cooperation in the field of CBRN (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear) prevention, preparedness, and response.
The visit marked an important step forward in the partnership initiated one year ago during the delegation’s first institutional mission to Italy, reaffirming a shared commitment to advancing dialogue, research, innovation, and training.
The program began at SAFE Headquarters in Soave, where a new Memorandum of Understanding was signed, laying the foundation for a long-term strategic partnership. The Ukrainian delegation then took part in a series of joint initiatives, including the presentation of upcoming EU-funded project opportunities, a visit to the Multinational CIMIC Group Headquarters in Motta di Livenza to reinforce civil-military cooperation, a demonstration of XR-based training solutions for CBRN safety at the Calvarina T&T facility, and participation as observers in a validation session of the EDF MoSaiC Project, focused on applied research and innovation for resilience.
These three days marked a meaningful step forward in joint efforts on research, training, and innovation, contributing to the creation of shared resilience between Europe and Ukraine. Fondazione SAFE remains committed to transforming knowledge into action and building bridges of cooperation between Italy, Europe, and Ukraine, fostering a culture of security and international solidarity.
