Fondazione SAFE took part in the Temporary Working Group on Artificial Intelligence (TWG-AI) established by the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW).
Chaired by Professor Catharina Müller-Buschbaum, the Working Group brings together international experts from academia, science, and industry to examine the implications of Artificial Intelligence in research, production, and innovation processes, promoting an ethical and responsible approach to its adoption.
The third meeting of the TWG-AI, held at the OPCW ChemTech Centre from 16 to 18 September 2025, represented an important opportunity for discussion on the latest developments in Artificial Intelligence and its future applications in scientific and industrial sectors. During the meeting, the President of Fondazione SAFE, Andrea D’Angelo, participated as a speaker under Agenda Item 5, contributing the organisation’s perspective on AI governance and sustainability.
This participation reaffirms Fondazione SAFE’s role as a key player in fostering dialogue between innovation, safety, and education, and its commitment to contributing to the international debate on responsible technological development.
