The Calvarina Testing & Training Area of Fondazione SAFE hosted the second design validation session of the European project MoSaiC, aimed at developing integrated monitoring and response solutions for Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) risks.
During the two-day event, project partners conducted partial tests to validate the overall system design, assessing the improvements and refinements implemented since the first validation round held in April 2025. The session brought together more than 20 scientists, engineers, technicians, and project managers from the seven project beneficiaries.
Fondazione SAFE played a key role in coordinating and hosting the activities, providing the technical and operational framework of its Calvarina T&T Area, a European excellence center for CBRN training and testing. The facility enabled realistic and controlled validation of modular components and AI-based technologies developed within MoSaiC, ensuring a safe and effective testing environment.
This second validation marks a significant milestone as the MoSaiC project approaches its final semester of implementation, advancing Europe’s capabilities in resilience, preparedness, and technological innovation.
Through its scientific expertise and dedicated infrastructure, Fondazione SAFE reaffirms its commitment to fostering applied research, innovation, and international cooperation for safety and civil protection.
