SAFE is glad to announce that its collaboration with the NATO Science and Technology Organisation (STO) continues thanks to the signing of a NATO funding contract for collaborative development and testing.

The agreement is in the context of the HFM-NMSG-354 Task Group, a NATO Research Task Group on Extended Reality applications for training of CBRN first responders. The Task Group’s final objective is to design and deploy training software and hardware designed to produce effective XR CBRN defence mission operator training in real-life scenarios. The STO Cooperative Planning Program will support the achievement of this objective by contributing to funding the rental of dedicated hardware and software to develop a dedicated XR training scenario.

As this represents the Foundation’s first NATO funding in this domain, SAFE is proud of this achievement and eagerly looking forward to further deepen our collaboration with NATO STO.
