For years, Fondazione SAFE has been working alongside Libyan institutions to strengthen capacities to prevent, detect, investigate, and prosecute corruption and financial crime, contributing to the promotion of the rule of law and sustainable anti-corruption reforms in the country.

Building on this long-standing cooperation, over the past two weeks the SAFE team, delivered the first training activities under the EU-AMAL project, initiating a broader series of initiatives focused on the use of innovative technologies for prosecutor training, which will continue in the coming months.

As part of these activities, SAFE conducted a workshop on XR technologies for training purposes, exploring the integration of immersive and innovative learning methodologies aimed at strengthening participants’ operational and investigative skills through practical, scenario-based experiences tailored to the Libyan context.

Discussions on new training technologies for crime scene analysis were welcomed with great interest by Libyan prosecutors and staff of the Criminal Research and Training Centre within the Office of the Attorney General.

Working alongside Libyan authorities and justice sector institutions represents for Fondazione SAFE not only a professional commitment, but also a shared path built on cooperation, trust, and long-term capacity building.
