The two-days official OPFA- WASTE kick off took place in combination with the first project Management Board meeting on 2-3 April 2020, officially engaging partners and re-confirming DG Home expectations on project activities and results.
Despite the current difficult times across the world due to Covid19 global emergency, participants overcame logistical challenges by setting up a video conference system allowing everyone to easily join and discuss project objectives and work plan in detail, making it possible to fully commit and move forward with project implementation.
April 2nd (Day 1) was dedicated to the official presentation of the Consortium Agreement, signed by all partners, the confirmation of project Board Members responsibilities, as well as the planning of project’s upcoming activities, focusing on the first semester calendar. During the afternoon session Terms of Reference for the Operational Facility were presented, discussed and ratified by all the participants.
April 3rd (Day 2) was dedicated to the presentation of the main project monitoring tools, including financial and administrative planning, internal consortium rules, procedures for the purchase of equipment and timeline for implementation.
